News & Events
On May 23, the day when the CPPCC and NPC sessions were held, Lingshui 17-2 Project—the first self-operated large deep-water gas field brought us a good news that the submarine pipeline was successfully laid and deep-water operation at a depth of 1532m was achieved, setting a new record for submarine pipeline laying in China. HYST has supplied Lingshui 17-2 Project more than 10,000 tons of submarine line pipes, constituting one of the driving forces that ushered in a new era when China is capable of laying submarine pipeline in “ultra-deep water” at a depth of“1500m plus”.
Due to the complexity and changeability of the ocean environment, the operation of laying submarine pipeline in ultra-deep water is very difficult and thus the requirements on the property, quality and size of the submarine line pipe are very demanding, hence the supply of submarine line pipe used in ultra-deep water has long been monopolized by the foreign manufacturers. This was the first time that China’s ocean engineering industry got involved in the operation in ultra-deep water at a depth of 1500m, thus facing huge challenges. HYST courageously shouldered the responsibility of localizing the supply of submarine line pipe, and has specially developed various sizes of submarine line pipes used in ultra-deep water for this project.
Products manufactured by HYST were highly praised by the prestigious experts as “very successfully on the whole”and “in a nearly perfect condition”on the conference of technology qualification. HYST finally realized mass production and supply and deep water at a depth of 1500m witnessed the presence of pipes Made in China for the first time.
As the supplier of the main pipeline of Lingshui 17-2 Project, HYST took active part in the project construction, spared no effort to push forward the cause of localization, and tried its best to make the largest possible contributions to safeguarding the national energy security.
